FAMILY LIBERALISM

Being a mother and a grandmother now, I feel that a mother of this
generation is very different from my mother's generation in terms of
behaviour. We were brought up to be obedient and would do as we
were told even though we were married. Parents and parents-in-law
were superior.

However, time has changed. Children and parents are more relaxed
in their relationships. I have gone through a learning period to be not
TOO enthusiastic, not TOO caring and NOT TO BE curious towards
the lives of my grown up children, especially when they have families
of their own. This will enable them to have lots of privacy and space
and in return your popularity amongst your family members will be
increased.

No matter in what period they are, most mothers are always very
protective of their children, and I am no exception. I even went to the
extent of switching to a vegetarian diet for three years during my 50s,
praying for wellness and happiness for my children.

This is the last message of my blog. I am moving to my next venture.
When I look back I did have a very successful career, a very loving
husband who never fails to support me in whatever I am pursuing. My
husband and myself have a very good bondage with our son and
daughter and their families. So what more do we want in life? There is
nothing.

Good bye and farewell.
